Let’s try and help musicians in need!
As an ensemble of two woodwind instruments and a string instrument we realized the tremendous cost of strings and reeds along with other accessories needed to play these instruments! As part of our efforts to use music to help communities we thought that we could collect used strings, reeds, and other accessories from our colleagues to take with us to Cambodia.
How could this be helpful?
Many of these strings and reeds which we throw out are still usable for beginner students or anyone who has an instrument but no funds to buy other necessary equipment.
This is still an experimental project!!
We are trying it out by bringing some of these items to Cambodia and seeing if any local music schools may need them! We hope to continue a collection after our trip and find other schools in need around the world where we could possibly ship them.
