Our trip to Cambodia begins!
After so many months of preparation (since the Fall of 2018) we are so excited to begin our journey to Cambodia. We are immensely grateful for all of our friends, teachers, and colleagues that have supported us in this project. We can’t wait to see what new discoveries and knowledge we will gain from this experience!
Here’s how we’ve been getting ready!
We were able to collect so many reeds, strings, and other accessories from Finland. We hope we can find somewhere to donate when we visit!

Cindy rented a flight case for a rented cello, the Groke, so that we can save money on a flight seat! It is so big! We felt like we were carrying a child around and could barely walk…luckily the Groke stayed calm, didn’t cry, or ask for more candies. We are pretty sure he is also excited to sing in Cambodia!

A few words from each of our ensemble members!
Antoine: This project is probably the most exciting adventure I have ever had in my life. I feel very happy! Really looking forward to sharing our experiences in Cambodia!
Sara: Something that we had only imagined in our minds coming to life is an incredible experience. I’m so curious to visit Cambodia, to see the musical life there, and share and exchange new ideas.
Cindy: I’m so inquisitive of what this journey will brings to our life. Looking forward to meet interesting people and share our story to everyone!
We will be regularly blogging during our trip so stay tuned!
